About Burj Khalifa
Soaring 163 floors above Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa offers mind-boggling views across the Dubai skyline, Arabian Gulf, and desert dunes from its observation decks.
Designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the Burj Khalifa's design draws inspiration from the desert spider lily (Hymenocallis) flower. Its Y-shaped tripartite footprint optimizes residential and hotel space while mitigating desert wind forces. High-speed double-deck elevators travel at 10 metres per second, carrying guests to 'At the Top' on levels 124 and 125, or the ultra-exclusive 'At the Top SKY' lounge on level 148. At the tower's base, the Dubai Fountain choreographs 22,000 gallons of water to music, creating an unforgettable nightly spectacle.
